George Lucaci Joins SEDA Experts, Bringing Expertise in Hedge Funds, Private Equity, and Investment Banking

New York, NY, October 3, 2025 - SEDA Experts LLC, a leading expert witness firm providing world-class financial expert witness services, announced today that George Lucaci joined the firm as Managing Director.

George Lucaci is an expert in asset-gathering across the fund management industry including alternative investments. He presently serves as Global Head of Distribution for FolioBeyond having previously held leadership roles in the hedge fund and private equity industry after a long career in investment banking.
At FolioBeyond Mr. Lucaci serves as Global Head of Distribution and its ETF: RISR and Fixed Income Models. Previously, he was Partner and Senior Advisor at Mercury Capital Advisors, specializing in hedge funds, private equity, and direct investments, and playing a key role in building the firm’s digital iFunds platform prior to its acquisition by Investcorp.
Mr. Lucaci was also Senior Managing Director of Channel Capital, the broker-dealer arm of Hedgefund.net, one of Wall Street’s first electronic alternative asset distribution platforms. There, he spearheaded capital raising efforts, securing over $3 billion from institutional investors and contributing to platforms that were ultimately acquired by NASDAQ and DAP Trading.
As Head of Risk Management at Normandy Asset Management, a large global macro hedge fund, he worked on some of the earliest applications of AI in investment models. He went on to found Riverside Securities, originate early-stage technology investments, and serve as Vice Chairman at Cambridge Partners, where he structured a $300 million high-yield financing for gas transport vessels in China.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Lucaci held leadership roles at Citibank, Merrill Lynch, Nomura Securities, and UBS. At Citibank, he led proprietary FX arbitrage trading and was part of the pioneering team that distributed private MBS securities in Japan. At Merrill Lynch, he directed one of Wall Street’s leading mortgage-backed securities businesses, and at Nomura he served as National Fixed Income Sales Manager, leading industry efforts in commercial and mortgage securitization.
Mr. Lucaci established the George Lucaci Endowment for Creative Non-Fiction at Duke University and has served on advisory boards at Duke, George Washington University, and Loyola University of Maryland.
Mr. Lucaci earned a B.A. from Duke University and an M.B.A. from The George Washington University, where he also served for more than 15 years on the Business School Board of Advisors.
