From 2004 until he left Deutsche Bank in 2012, Sekhar had a senior origination role covering several of the largest private equity firms in Europe. From 2014 to 2016 he worked for KKR Capital Markets covering third party private equity firms as debt financing clients.

Before joining Deutsche Bank, Sekhar ran the group in Bankers Trust Company London responsible for designing equity and other derivative based solutions for European corporate finance clients and was named to the Bank's Partner Group in 1996.

Sekhar began his career as a Corporate Finance generalist in New York where he gained experience in a wide range of debt and equity raising, derivative and other corporate finance transactions.  For the next ten years he specialized in Merger and Acquisition advisory work in New York and London for Salomon Brothers, a boutique investment bank, and Bankers Trust Company. He has considerable experience in structuring, executing and negotiating merger and acquisition advisory assignments in the USA and in several European countries.

Sekhar is also a professional flycasting instructor with Master Level One and Two-Hand teaching qualifications.  He has been a Trustee and fishing guide for the Cancer and Pisces Trust since 2021 and was a Trustee of the University of Chicago from 2010-2015.  Sekhar is married with two adult children and lives in London and Greenwich, Connecticut.  He is a US/UK citizen and speaks functional Spanish.
