Alfred G. Jackson has over 40 years’ experience in financial markets where he was a leader in the field of equities research and valuation as well as Managing Partner in a successful Registered Investment Adviser (RIA). In his long career at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he attained multiple global leadership positions, Mr. Jackson was consistently voted the #1 analyst for the food category.

Mr. Jackson began his career at Merrill Lynch as a research analyst before transferring to First Boston in a similar role in 1980. Al shortly became Director of Research for the Americas in a period where the firm was consistently ranked top 3 by Greenwich Associates and the Institutional Investor All-America Research Poll (II). He was then asked to run Equity Sales as well as Research before transferring to Europe as head of Equities in 1993. Following this Al became the Head of Global Equity Research and Sales at time of tumult, and was responsible for the consolidation of Equity Research groups across all geographies, while retaining top rankings for the CSFB global research product. He became the Global Head of Securities Research in 2002.

Furthermore, Mr. Jackson served as one of the eight members of the Global Equity Management Committee which was the decision making body for a business with more than 2,500 employees and revenues exceeding $3 billion. Mr. Jackson was a member of the Executive Board of CSFB (Credit Suisse First Boston) which set policy and strategic direction for the firm’s equity, fixed income, investment banking and asset management businesses. He was also directly involved in major research driven acquisitions in the US, Europe and Japan including the acquisition of HOLT, a valuation and data-based firm, that grew to be a major contributor to the firm’s research effort. 

Besides his research duties, Mr. Jackson sat on the Board of Bumble Bee Seafoods and was the Non Executive Chairman of the Interstate Bakeries’ Board of Directors. Both companies had successful exits.

After retiring from CSFB, Mr. Jackson was one of the Managing Members of Siridean Advisors LLC a registered investment advisor with the SEC where he invested with several successful money managers including noted hedge funds.  He is also an active investor in a number of Series A and B companies in the hard sciences.
