Marc spent over four decades at KPMG LLP, including more than three decades as a tax partner with an international tax specialization. During his tenure, he led hundreds of M&A transactions involving companies ranging from owner-operated businesses to multi-billion-dollar public corporations across healthcare, life sciences, financial services, manufacturing, and more. He advised both financial and strategic buyers and sellers on all phases of deal structuring, tax compliance, valuation, and post-closing integration.

In addition to his transactional leadership, Marc had overall responsibility for KPMG’s international tax quantitative practice, overseeing compliance technology, tax pool and attribute studies, and the application of complex tax rules such as the U.S. Foreign Tax Credit and ASC 740 accounting standards. He chaired KPMG’s global Value Management practice (formerly the Tax Efficient Supply Chain Management practice), standardizing methodologies and driving global adoption, significantly enhancing client tax efficiencies worldwide.

After retiring from KPMG, Marc joined Grant Thornton LLP as a Managing Director in its International Tax Services practice. He led tax strategy and compliance for the firm’s largest clients, co-led tax services for the life sciences and media and entertainment industries, and acted as a key liaison with the National Tax Office to resolve complex international tax and transfer pricing matters.

Marc is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Illinois and New Jersey and earned his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy with highest honors from the University of Illinois. He has been a sought-after speaker and author on international tax and supply chain topics, lecturing at institutions such as NYU School of Law and presenting to professional organizations including the Tax Executives Institute and American Management Association.
