Professor Dibadj is known for his contributions to legal academia, regulatory scholarship, and high-level consulting in both academic and private practice settings.
Professor Dibadj is a full-time Lecturer-in-Residence at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, where he teaches and writes on corporate and securities law, business associations, financial regulation, and related areas of legal and regulatory policy. He has also held numerous visiting professorships at UC Berkeley, UC Law San Francisco, and UC Davis, reflecting a longstanding career across leading California law schools.
Since 2015, Professor Dibadj has served as an expert witness and consultant, applying his legal, academic, and consulting background to complex business disputes and regulatory matters. His scholarship focuses on corporate governance, securities regulation, antitrust, administrative law, financial markets, and regulatory policy. He is the author of Rescuing Regulation and has published extensively in leading law reviews and journals on topics including Delaware corporate law, fiduciary duties, financial regulatory reform, crowdfunding, monopolization, conscious parallelism, and the political economy of regulation.
His scholarship is complemented by extensive teaching and speaking experience. Professor Dibadj has taught courses including Business Associations, Securities Regulation, International Business Transactions, Antitrust, Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Finance, Secured Transactions, and Contracts. He has also presented his work at law review symposia, academic conferences, and invited lectures in the United States and abroad.
Before entering academia, Professor Dibadj worked at The Boston Consulting Group, where he held roles as Consultant, Project Leader, and Manager. His consulting background further supports his work in matters involving corporate strategy, regulation, markets, and institutional decision-making.
Professor Dibadj earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School, his M.B.A., with distinction, from Harvard Business School, and his S.B., magna cum laude, in Engineering Sciences from Harvard College.
He is admitted to practice in California, the District of Columbia, Massachusetts, Wyoming, and New York, as well as before the United States Supreme Court and several other federal courts.
