Since 2020, Tim has offered independent consulting services, assisting companies in Australia and the UK with designing and implementing customized FX and interest rate hedging strategies, managing counterparty relationships, and resolving complex treasury disputes. He has been engaged multiple times as a FX and derivatives expert assisting top-tier law firms, big 4 accounting firms and debtors / creditors from administration. This has included adjudicating on claims, providing historical valuations and providing expert reports as well as consulting assistance.

Since 2013, Tim has also served as Responsible Manager – Foreign Exchange at Valor Private Wealth. In this role, he played a pivotal part in integrating FX capabilities into the firm’s Australian Financial Services License (AFSL), developing comprehensive internal training programs, and ensuring rigorous compliance and governance in FX advisory services.

Mr. Davies began his career at Westpac, progressing through roles in FX trading, sales, and structuring before holding senior positions at RBS, Lloyds Bank, ANZ, and CBA. Throughout his banking career, he focused on delivering tailored derivative solutions for corporates with non-standard risk profiles and significant FX exposures. At Lloyds Bank, he was selected for the Senior Leaders Programme and led “Lloyds Masters,” a client education initiative designed to improve understanding of derivatives. At CBA, he spearheaded the development of Digital Risk Solutions, an innovative client-facing platform that visualizes FX exposure and won a CEO’s Innovation Award. He also introduced critical process improvements that mitigated systemic risks within derivative operations.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from The University of Melbourne, with a thesis focused on equity valuation under volatile market conditions.
